Covering: Tuchel's Reece James influence, Why Hudson-Odoi rejected U21 call-up, Chelsea 1 Burnley 1 review, Fabio Carvalho to Chelsea rumours, and our general news sweep...
Morning people!
Hope you all had a good weekend and enjoyed any firework displays you may have watched.
Unfortunately for Chelsea we didn’t have any fireworks at Stamford Bridge on Saturday as we failed to provide the finishing touches to our planned display.
Chelsea must have been sold some dodgy FIREworks as we were very much mis-FIRING against Burnley, and it was a case of a very disappointing two points dropped.
But perspective is also needed, and I think I’ve provided this in my 5 things I noticed match review here.
It was another beautiful assist from Reece James on Saturday to provide Kai Havertz to score our only goal of the game.
You might have noticed a little difference in how Reece has been playing in recent matches as he looks to perfect the wing back role, and there is a reason for that. I’ve detailed exactly what that is here.
Meanwhile, Callum Hudson-Odoi rejected another chance to play for the England U21 team in this latest international break, and I’ve explained the full reasons why he turned down the offer here.
Transfer rumours had gone a little quiet in the last week or so, but as January approaches I am sure we will start to see more. Here is one that I’ve rated, Fabio Carvalho from Fulham.
Finally, there was a few entertaining stories that made it into our general news sweep here that you might want to cast an eye over.
That wraps it up for Monday, will be back again in the morning!
Have a good day guys, Si.
