Covering: Latest sourced info on Kounde, Reactions to Arsenal, Dissecting TT's comments, Why the squad has always needed a rebuild, plus all the latest Chelsea transfer stories...
Morning all!
As far as Monday mornings go, this one is probably down there with one of the lesser enjoyable ones. Not only has the Jules Kounde saga not closed yet and continues to frustrate, Chelsea only went an got hammered by London rivals Arsenal over the weekend!
So, it was safe to say that my mood on Sunday when I woke up, was not too good. In fact, I chose violence…. As you’ll see from my reaction articles below! 😅
I know many of you have been asking, but I needed to take some time away from it over the weekend I’m afraid. I have penned the latest on our Jules Kounde pursuit on Sunday lunchtime based on what I have been told, you can find that here if you didn’t see it come out yesterday (things may have already changed since I wrote this).
I didn’t do a live blog on Sunday as I was pretty busy with other things, including re-watching the game and forming all my reaction pieces! But I have bought back the classic ‘general sweep up’ article to cover everything that happened on Sunday in the world of Chelsea transfers and anything else. So you can catch up on all of that here.
Now, to my Arsenal reactions we go. The first one is a general reaction piece to the game itself; looking at the formation, performances, and the setup here.
Thomas Tuchel’s comments after the game were unsurprisingly lively, and he certainly came out with some home truths. I was actually quite pleased to see some of the things he said, but there was a lot to dissect, so I’ve got a whole article on that here.
The final one is something I’ve been passionate and vocal about for some time now - why we need a big squad rebuild, and pondering why we aren’t really seeing it yet, as of now at least. I’m sure this one here will resonate with a few of you.
I promise you it’s not all doom and gloom! My reactions here were purely based on some opinions I’ve had bubbling up for some time, but it felt right to get a few of them penned after the Arsenal game. Because getting thrashed by Arsenal tends to bring out my angry side! 😂
Apart from the game, and the Kounde saga, I hope you all managed to take yourselves away from it for a bit and live your lives away from Chelsea and social media, which is something I will always highly recommend you all do as much as you can!
Have a good Monday, hoping to get some more news this week on potential attacker movements, once the Kounde thing is dusted either way.
Peace, Si.
I was away from Social media all weekend mate. Hardly followed any of the news regarding transfers and while my dad watched the game, i slept it off haha. Looking forward to the drama this week. I hope transfer wise, its some good news with or without Kounde.
Interesting from fabrizio today
‘Thomas Tuchel certainly wants at least one new centre-back and it could be two if Levi Colwill leaves the club.’
The wording makes it seem as if Levi Colwill could stay
