Covering: Ownership Latest, Middlesbrough 0 Chelsea 2 Review, Player Focus: Dujon Sterling, Ajax Ziyech Has Arrived, Plus Antonio Rudiger Future: The Truth...
Good morning!
People of the UK, hope you’re all enjoying this beautiful weather right now, I certainly am! I’ve been in the garden quite a bit this weekend, we have to make the most of it before the snow sets in next week probably!!
What has this blog come to, I’m small talking about the weather!! Let’s get to the Chelsea stuff…
Ownership takeover continues to dominate the headlines over the weekend of course, and it is expected to for some time yet. We are hoping to hear who will be our new owners this week in what feels like a hugely crucial time for the future of our club and the beginning of a new era. I’ve penned some more on the ownership latest here as we reach a pinnacle point.
Rumours of Antonio Rudiger agreeing to join Juventus surfaced over the weekend as well, so I’ve addressed that and report the truth here.
There was no watch-along report on the game on Saturday for me, but I of course watched the game and have got my five key takeaway points reaction article here.
Player focus now, and we are looking at the form of Dujon Sterling in recent games and what that could mean for his future at Chelsea. He’s certainly staking a claim, and there is a potential route into the first team for him this summer, read more on that here.
Finally, the form of Hakim Ziyech in recent games has been very impressive, and he’s becoming a bit of a talisman, which Chelsea have really needed. A piece here on why I think we are now seeing Ajax Hakim Ziyech and how he can finally start emulating Arjen Robben in Chelsea blue.
That’s all folks, I’ll be back with another newsletter tomorrow morning, which also happens to be my 30th (not quite, close…ish) Birthday! I told you, I’m like Thiago Silva I go down in years now not up.
Peace, Si.
