Good morning from Nicosia in Cyprus!
I am still out here on my honeymoon, but I am back ‘to work’ now! It’s never ‘work’ though when it involves my beloved Chelsea FC, and to be honest, I’ve actually missed doing these newsletters and regular posting on the site and checking in with all you guys. It just feels so normal and natural now! For those of you who are interested, here is the latest updates on our travels as we arrived in the Cypriot capital this weekend!
Chelsea beat Aston Villa yesterday, and I managed to watch it in a bar, but only on a dodgy stream on my phone. The barman promised me Chelsea, but they played Arsenal instead. Yup, I was livid! However, Charlie had you guys covered for the watch along review here, and I will give my full and further thoughts on the game later today.
It was a big win for Chelsea in terms of importance, as they always are, and I have some of the players reactions here, as well as some words from Graham Potter, and all the rest of the general news from Sunday to recap with.
Reece James’ injury obviously came as a shock to us all, especially as we were initially told that it was not serious, as did all the major outlets. But we have a situation now to address, and I have written my thoughts here on how I believe we can cover James going forward. We saw two options versus Villa, but there is more experimenting to be done.
Finally, a story sourced from our own info on Romelu Lukaku, Gavin Bazunu, and Weston McKennie. Sound random? Click here for more!
Have a great Monday all!
Peace, Si.
