Chelsea Newsletter: Monday 13th March
Covering: Leicester reflections, Potter's cautions but wise tactics, Chelsea sign a striker, VAR ticking time bomb, Plus the latest full roundup of Chelsea news!
Morning all,
I hope you all had a good weekend and are doing well.
It’s another happy Monday for us off the back of our third win in a row, beating Leicester City 3-1 on Saturday.
It was a bit of an emphatic end to end game, with it being surprisingly open. But Chelsea got the job done and continued that winning momentum, which is what we were all pining for. Get my full thoughts and reflections on the win here.
Graham Potter switched up the formation a couple of times during the second half at Leicester, but it was what he did at half time that helped Chelsea see it through and get all three points. He’s been rather cautious, but it’s also proving to be very wise right now, and you can read more on that here.
The officials and VAR were once again under fire for a few big calls they got wrong during the game on Saturday, with Joao Felix almost having an ankle snapped. VAR is the subject of my next article here, honing in on a situation that I think is not only sad, but also a ticking time bomb waiting to explode.
Ladies and gents, Chelsea have signed a new striker!! We’ve all been asking for it, and now it’s happened. But you might want to read the full details here to find out more!
Finally, Sunday’s Chelsea news report here with anything else you may have missed from other outlets from Sunday, as well as any other quotes and reactions from our game on Saturday.
Have a good one!
Peace, Si.
