Covering: Latest on Sterling, Ake, Raphinha, and Dembele, Hudson-Odoi's physical journey, Sourced story on Boehly, Backing TT, Squad in LA, Plus all the latest transfer rumours...
Good Morning!
I hope you all had a good weekend and if you’re in the UK, and many parts of Europe right now, you’re probably experiencing some unusually warm weather! So I hope you managed to enjoy some of that this weekend and found some water to jump into!
It’s so hard to use a laptop actually on your ‘lap’ when it’s this hot! I’ll never moan about weather like this though, it’s unreal!
Let’s get down to business. Raheem Sterling is just a medical away from being confirmed and will join the squad in America. Nathan Ake is a fee away from being confirmed and could also join the squad in America this week if that gets over the line. Not ruling out a Chelsea double announcement as I said last week. All of this and the rest of the transfer rumours here from yesterday’s live blog.
My next story is a sourced story here about how Todd Boehly is revolutionising Chelsea Football Club and how it was time for the old regime to go.
A few opinion articles that also have some info in them as well to finish off today’s articles. The first here is my views on Nathan Ake and backing Thomas Tuchel.
The next one is regarding the debate around the squad that ended up traveling out to America for our pre-season tour this weekend. It was certainly a talking point, and I’ve thrown my two pence worth in here.
Finally, the last one is about Callum Hudson-Odoi here and reporting on his current fitness and physical level. I’ve got some thoughts in here as well on his season ahead, and how he has really fought back from adversity once again.
That’s all, folks. I’ll have the live blog running again today as always on a weekday.
Peace, Si.
Hi Simon,
Rumors are there that we won't be looking for any further attacking players plus Broja seems likely to leave. We aren't getting our 1st choice defenders either. Is there any positivity left in this window? Till now I had no worry but things are starting to look bad for us.
Hi Si, As Dembele and Raphinha gone is there any new winger targets ??
