Good Morning!
Happy Friday people! Chelsea are in action this Saturday against Wolves in the 3pm kick off at Stamford Bridge.
We’ve made every remaining game a tough and important one ourselves, so thanks for that Chelsea! But a win against Wolves will help keep us as comfortable as we can possibly be right now in the race for top four, a race we threw ourselves back in! Got to love The Blues right!?
As we reach the end of Todd Boehly’s week of exclusivity with Chelsea talks and the group remaining confident, I have got an extensive article here on what we can expect from Boehly’s Chelsea moving forward.
Roman Abramovich literally shut down the scaremongering media on Thursday with a fantastic ‘punch in the face’ statement on the Chelsea website! This was absolutely brilliant and much needed to pipe down the hysteria. Read that and get all the rest of the latest on the Chelsea takeover and any other bits of transfer news and important quotes from Thursday from our live blog here.
Next up, Chelsea’s U18s won the Premier League Cup this week and I decided to do a bit of scouting on the three players that stood out to me. Check that out here and get excited about the future of Chelsea!
Meanwhile, some updates and thoughts on Chelsea’s contract situation here, with 2023 looking like a priority for the new owners as soon as possible.
Finally, a random transfer rumour to rate and ponder here, with Djed Spence being linked with a move to Chelsea this summer.
We had a last minute guest jump on the Podcast yesterday after all. None other than Paul Canoville’s right hand man, Gary Trowsdale. As you will know, the pair have been meeting with all of our potential new owners over the last few weeks due to their role as official racism and equality ambassadors at the club. On Thursday morning they met with Sir Jim Ratcliffe, and Gary tells us all about that plus his thoughts on Boehly. So as you can imagine, this one is NOT to be missed! On the homepage now.
Have a cracking weekend guys whatever you are up to and enjoy the game if you’re there/watching from home!
Peace, Si.
Podcast with Gary was brilliant. So many historical anecdotes I was vaguely unaware of. He articulated the way forward with Cobham youngsters being key and Neil Bath's work. You need to bring him on again perhaps once the new season starts as an update on Paul's work and how the new owners are supporting that. I also got a faint feeling that Radcliffe could not be arsed with the meeting and sent his underlings.
@simon - are Chelsea looking at Koulibaly?
