Chelsea Newsletter - Friday 5th November
Covering: Loftus-Cheek, Charly Musonda, Premier League October awards, N'Golo Kante info, and a big general news sweep up..
Yo guys!
Happy Bonfire night, hope you all enjoy any displays you might manage to get out and see this weekend!
It’s also Friday and we’ve hit the weekend! Chelsea are playing Burnley tomorrow, and then we have another damned international break. Getting sick of these now, and so are Chelsea…
First up, a reminder of Trevoh Chalobah’s confirmed new contract from Thursday evening that I posted out to you guys as breaking news here. This is amazing news and fully deserved.
N’Golo Kante was called up for the France squad after Chelsea have been resting him this week and trying to manage his risk. I’ve got some info on that situation here as well as my views on it.
Charly Musonda announced on his Instagram this week that he will become a free agent in the summer. Now it’s important to tell you all I’ve had no official word from the club on this as of yet, but if it does happen it will be a sad end to his story with us.
I’ve penned some thoughts on that here, and why many Chelsea fans have an emotional attachment to Charly.
Oh snap! Guess what? I’ve got to write about Ruben Loftus-Cheek again! Hey I don’t make the rules here people!
Ruben has put the big injury behind him, and there was some good quotes going around from him on Thursday, you can enjoy those and my words on his season so far and where he is at here.
Did you guys see we had two Chelsea nominees for the Premier League awards for October? I’ve got all you need to know on that and the chances of a Chelsea winner here.
Finally, I think this is one of the biggest general news sweeps I’ve ever done, but there was a lot of little things and quotes going on yesterday, so peep that here.
Before I go, just wanted to explain that this weeks Podcast will be out later this week, probably Saturday evening. This is because we wanted to get Eli Helenek on the show and the timings were difficult to pin down. Also means I couldn’t make the show, but Dan is on it and the show must go on! So look out for that later on.
Have a great weekend you guys, speak on Monday!
Cheers, Si.
