Chelsea Newsletter - Friday 5th August
Covering: Chukwuemeka signs! Massive Sourced transfer update on De Jong, Fofana, Aubameyang, Depay, Vardy, Ronaldo, and more, Everton preview, My thoughts on Colwill, Plus Cucurella latest etc..
Good morning!
There has been so much packed into this morning’s newsletter that I ran out of room in the sub-title to tell you everything we are reporting right now!
Anyway, if you somehow managed to miss my bumper transfer news update based on my own sourced info from yesterday, you can catch that here. I cover De Jong, Fofana, Aubameyang, Depay, Vardy, and many more…
Next up, news of a new signing announced, plus all the latest on Marc Cucurella, any outgoings, and all the latest transfer news from yesterday in the live blog here.
I wanted to get my thoughts out on two players as I have been asked a lot on both of them. First of all, here I explain what I feel about the Levi Colwill to Brighton deal, with it being the subject of the week. I wrote this when it was assumed it was a permanent deal, but I’ve since been told it could be still just a loan.
The next debate is surrounding Pierre Emerick Aubameyang after being linked with a move to Chelsea. I’ve got my thoughts on him here.
Finally, the new Premier League season is BACK! And I am absolutely buzzing for it! Chelsea go to Everton tomorrow to kick start the new season for both clubs, and of course, we never expect an easy game when we go there. I’ve got my preview, thoughts, team news, and line-up prediction for that one here.
Myself and Macca recorded a Pod yesterday if you missed it, you can find that on the home page now. Transfer guest on next week, or Rob, or both!
I’ll be back on Sunday with the articles for Monday’s newsletter and maybe a live blog (I’ll see). But until then, unless there are any breaking news stories or big sourced updates given to me, have a smashing weekend people!
Simon Phillips
Morning Simon! It’s been another good week for Chelsea. Personally I’m going ‘CUCU’ for Cucurella’s signing AND not losing Colwill permanently. Thanks again to you and the team and have a great weekend too. 🙌🏽💙
Great job on reporting everything that has happened this week Simon, must be exhausting. Have a great weekend, sir. You deserve it.
