Chelsea Newsletter: Friday 4th Nov
Covering: Sources on Silva/Defenders, What next in midfield (future of Zakaria)? Further reflections from Zagreb game, Scout Report: Denis Zakaria, Plus all the latest CFC news and transfer rumours!
Morning everyone!
Happy Friday! Hope you’ve all got some nice plans for the weekend (if you’re not working of course). Chelsea have some plans for us on Sunday, and to be honest I am nervous as heck about this one. Have no idea how this will go, part of me thinks it will be typically Chelsea to go and win against Arsenal on Sunday, but another part of me is scared stiff!
I’ve not got a full preview, but I have put some predictions (score and lineup) in the live blog from yesterday instead. You can find that, and all the latest Blues news here.
This week has been all about the Denis Zakaria story, and what a story it is shaping up to be. He breezed through his long-awaited Chelsea debut on Wednesday night, and ever since then he has become the talk of the town. It’s early doors of course, but I’ve got a scout report of his Zagreb performance here.
As well as that, I’ve penned an article on his future and what the actual situation is right now. It’s a general article on the midfield situation right now as well and what the plans are, and how they might change. You can peep that here.
I have further reflections and reactions from the Dinamo Zagreb victory this week here, where I go into it all a bit deeper and speak on individual performances and Graham Potter’s tactical setup, which was great.
Finally, a sourced article on Thiago Silva and the current defender situation right now. Many will want him to extend, but it is not entirely clear as of yet. More on that here.
Oh, and we posted our latest Podcast episode yesterday and if you haven’t caught that yet, you can find it here!
That’s it for now. I’ll be back on Sunday just in time to do a live match report on the Arsenal game. YIKES. Have a good weekend folks!
Peace, Si.
Idk why, but I'm feeling quite confident about the Arsenal match. Fingers crossed! 🤞
