It’s New Years Eve people!
Hope you all enjoy yourselves this evening and this weekend whatever it is you are getting up to! Quiet one for me really, some food and drinks with the Wife, saving myself for Sunday night at Stamford Bridge!
Best wishes to you all for 2022 and a massive Happy New Year from myself and Dan!
I will be getting something out to you guys on Monday but it won’t be a full newsletter as I’ll be in London watching Chelsea Sunday and won’t have time to prep much decent content for you. I’ll get some images and videos from the game and do a report from that on the Monday morning with any other transfer updates or any info I’ve got to share with you guys, not sure what time it will be yet, maybe on my way back to Somerset on the train!
Some final bits of news for you before we leave 2021!…
First of all, let’s rate a rumour. Ousmane Dembele to Chelsea anyone? Check that here.
Thomas Tuchel says it is now impossible for Chelsea to be in this title race with all our injury issues, and I agree, read more on that here.
End of the year brings the financial records release, and it’s not great news for most clubs right now. Find out where Chelsea fair here.
A sourced story now regarding Callum Hudson-Odoi and his performance against Brighton this week. There’s a bit more that meets the eye here.
Lastly, our general news sweep here now covering anything else you may have missed from Thursday.
Our Bumper Transfer Window Podcast is out at 8am today where myself and Dan answer all your transfer related questions for this window and for the summer!
Remember, if anyone is at the game Sunday and wants to say hi or meet for a beer with myself and Dan, let us know!
After I wrote all this the big Lukaku quotes came out, which I have put in the general news article. I’m pretty speechless to be honest and want to have a good think on it all before I speak too much more on them. But I will get something out later today hopefully when I find more out and have some info to bring you. It’s more the Inter comments for me, saying how he wants to return there in still in his peak. He’s 29 in May, that’s basically within the next two years. Not professional at the VERY least, but I need to find out more and gain more context. It’s since transpired that these comments were from 3 weeks ago, and Fabrizio Romano’s reporting of the words are a bit different to what Sky Italy have on the website, so Lukaku has been pretty stitched up here. However, it’s unprofessional at the very least and these conversations should have stayed between Lukaku and Tuchel. More on this soon..
Happy New Year, enjoy your weekend, Si.
Happy New Year to yourself and Dan. Enjoy the game Sunday and thanks for all the updates, news articles and also to responding to my comments (appreciated).
