Chelsea Newsletter: Friday 25th Nov
Covering: Sourced story on Meslier interest, Effect of team spirit, Another one to forget for Havertz, ENG v USA preview, Plus all the latest Chelsea news and transfer rumours!
Morning all!
It’s the big one tonight, USA vs England in Group B! England got off to a flying start, but USA will feel they really need a result from this one to keep qualification hopes alive. I have a full preview of the game here.
It was the turn of Kai Havertz and Germany in the World Cup on Wednesday and unfortunately, it was another one to forget for the Chelsea forward. The German media rinsed him, as did Ian Wright, and to be honest, he was poor once again. I’ve got some words and thoughts on that here.
I have a general comment piece now on some things I’ve noticed during the World Cup so far, and I have related it to Chelsea and some of our issues we have seen. It’s all about how undervalued team spirit and desire is in football, and how we have already seen the likes of Saudi Arabia and Japan win against the odds purely because they wanted it more. You can read that one here.
Have a look at the live blog from yesterday here now to get all your latest Chelsea news and transfer rumours from the last 24 hours.
Finally, a sourced story to finish off the week here. It’s about the goalkeeper situation in general, and focused on our interest in Leeds United stopper, Illan Meslier.
Hope you all have a great weekend and enjoyed Thanksgiving yesterday, if you celebrated.
Back on for Sunday!
Peace, Si.
