Covering: Goalkeeper conundrum, Declan Rice, Community captain votes, Lesson to be learned from banner-gate, Plus all the latest Chelsea news and transfer rumours!
Morning all!
Happy Friday people! I’ve got mixed feelings about this weekend. I’m already bored of the international break and I’d quite like to be watching Chelsea play football this weekend. But also, I’m kind of glad as I am away all weekend now in Devon without WiFi, and of course, I’m also buzzing for that!
I’ve been enjoying watching Chelsea play again in the last four games, despite the slip up against Everton. I’ve started to see things click a bit more and some positive signs. But we have to wait until April the 1st for our next again, home to Aston Villa.
Have a check in on all that happened yesterday in the world of Chelsea in the latest live blog here, delivering all the latest news, quotes, and transfer rumours.
The goalkeeper debate is one that has been rife this week, and Chelsea are starting to be linked with more and more potential new stoppers. No smoke without fire, and I’ve got the latest and my views on that situation here.
Another debate is the current captaincy at the club. I’ve spoken quite a bit on that this week, and it was your turn on Wednesday in the polls. I’ve looked at the results and dissected it, and our community have made themselves clear and chosen their club captain for the here, and for the now. See who that is here.
Speaking of captains, Declan Rice is a bloody good one! He’s been responding to criticism directed at him this week. Why am I speaking about Rice, a West Ham player? Three reasons, find out here!
Finally, Todd Boehly spoke to Chelsea twitter this week, and it was a great move by our co-owner. He needed to shut down banner-gate, and he did so with class and conviction. Get my thoughts on it all here.
Remember, we had our latest Podcast out last night featuring popular Chelsea YouTuber NiiNii. If you’ve not listened yet, I reckon you should, especially with a lack of Chelsea playing this weekend, grab your fix here!
And finally, look out today for the latest Frank Leboeuf column that will be dropping to your inboxes very soon! As always, it’s bound to be a lively one!
Have a fantastic weekend all. A reminder that I won’t have WiFi so I won’t be on the site or the app really the next couple of days. But fear not, I’m back on Sunday as always, and you have Frank and the Pod to keep you entertained today!
Peace, Si.
Enjoy your weekend, mate...if Julian towards dropping a cheeky note to your sources about Nagelsmann then that’d be great 😬
(my ban worthy attempt at a pun: Julian = you lean)
...in the meantime, I’ll try to not get my hopes up only to be crushingly disappointed about who is in our dugout next season.
Get kone and lavia done early. Move to a midfield 4 of Enzo kante lavia and kone 🔥
Then just 1,000,000 outgoings, oseheim and a keeper to get done in rest of the window.
Easy 😂
