Chelsea Newsletter - Friday 17th December
Covering: Chelsea 1 Everton 1 reactions, Armando Broja - The Future, Gleison Bremer and Cesar Azpilcueta updates, Diplomatic Tuchel, and our general news sweep..
Welcome back guys we’ve hit Friday again!
Sorry for all the posts yesterday, I was trying to get you guys the information first but it was obviously so fast-changing it was difficult to keep up and get conclusive info in the end. Think we did pretty well though all things considered, but it was also the first and last time I wished our sources were incorrect, but sadly not, Covid-19 has hit Chelsea.
Thomas Tuchel confirmed my report to you guys yesterday lunchtime, that Hudson-Odoi, Lukaku, Werner, and Ben Chilwell all tested positive for Covid-19. Kai Havertz is unwell and waiting on a test result.
Despite what some are claiming, I can confirm that these results DID come back in BEFORE Tuchel’s press conference on Wednesday, but these were Lateral Flow Tests, so they had to wait longer for PCR Test results after these. But Callum, Rom, and Chilly DID return positive tests before Tuchel’s press conference, Timo and Kai may have been later on Thursday.
Chelsea tried to keep this so quiet, so I went out on a limb getting this info to you guys VERY early! All the reporters were on an embargo and could not confirm until right before our game.
I’ve seen the accounts who screenshotted and shared our information from the reports on the Covid-19 situation and legal action will be enforced, as I had pre-warned.
But anyway, the show went on and we still played our game versus Everton last night at least, although after another lacklustre performance maybe we should have got it postponed.
Damn that was frustrating once again, and you can check out my watch-along and reaction article on the game here.
Next up, a piece on how diplomatic Thomas Tuchel has been and will be in press conference, especially related to transfers, Covid-19 (obviously), and injuries. It’s wise of course, you can read more on that here.
A bit of a double article now with stories on Gleison Bremer and Cesar Azpilicueta, which could of course end up becoming related. You can check that out here.
Armando Broja was fantastic for Southampton versus Crystal Palace earlier this week, and for me, he is the future of Chelsea. Do we have our very own Erling Haaland already? Find out more here.
And finally, it’s our general news sweep here going through anything else you might have missed from Thursday, other than the Covid-19 madness.
Have a cracking weekend guys and let’s hope we do have a fixture on Sunday with all the Covid nonsense bubbling up.
Cheers all, Si.
Hi Simon do you know the latest 2 players that have caught covid
