Chelsea Newsletter: Friday 16th Dec
Covering: Datro Fofana close! Sources on Benjamin Sesko, Victor Osimhen, Dusan Vlahovic, & Ivan Toney, Scouting midfield recommendations, Felix and Cunha offered, youngsters continue in first team!
Morning all,
Welcome to Friday! It’s the week before Christmas which is exciting for me anyway as I love this time of the year, but it also means it’s just over a week before Chelsea play in the Premier League again, whether that excites you or not!
However, if none of the above excites you at all, I can guarantee that two more World Cup matches will excite you! Maybe not the pointless third and fourth place playoff (although that does present more Amrabat and Ounahi scouting opportunities), but definitely the World Cup final on Sunday between giants Argentina and France.
On the subject of scouting Moroccan midfielders, let’s head to that article here first. Some big recommendations from me to Chelsea in this one.
Go to the live blog from yesterday next to gather up all your collective Chelsea news together in one place so that you do not miss a thing here.
In the above article you will find news of Chelsea being close to signing striker Datro Fofana! This came out of nowhere, and I’ll provide detailed analysis on him on Sunday. But is he the Armando Broja replacement!? It doesn’t appear so, and Chelsea are still looking at more strikers/forwards for the next couple of windows regardless.
We have some covered here in our sourced story on Benjamin Sesko, Ivan Toney, Dusan Vlahovic, and Victor Osimhen. Also in this, some exclusive comments from insider Ben Jacobs on the striker situation.
Now, a transfer rumour to rate from an outside source. Chelsea have been offered the chance to sign Joao Felix and Matheus Cunha from Atletico Madrid, but will they take them up on it? Find out here.
Finally, the World Cup players have been filtering back in to Cobham this week for senior team training. So does that mean the end of the academy involvement? Nope, find out more here.
Have a crackin’ weekend whatever it is you are up to, and enjoy the WC final!
Peace, Si.
