Happy Friday people!
Well, this newsletter ends up a week of pure madness for Chelsea fans, and it’s easily been our busiest and craziest week so far since we have been running this site! I have a feeling this will continue over the weekend and into the next few weeks as well! Crazy times.
Chelsea play Club America at 3am on Sunday morning UK time. Excited to have Chelsea back playing again, not so buzzing about getting no sleep and then getting up to write about it…. We’ll see how it plays out, but I’ll defo get some reactions up on Sunday when I can. Hope you’re all excited to see The Blues back in action, and hopefully a debut for Raheem Sterling!
Kalidou Koulibaly to play as well? Maybe…. He is joining his new team mates in LA as well after his move is official. You can get the latest on that, as well as recapping Sterling’s first day as a Blue, and all the rest of the stories and transfer news surrounding Chelsea here in yesterday’s live blog! Big up Charlie again for helping on this.
Presnel Kimpembe to be next? Well, it’s certainly a move that is progressing, with optimism that it is getting close. Get all the latest on that one from my own sources here.
Are we REALLY going to sign three left centre-backs though and sell Levi Colwill? It’s a situation that is far from clear right now and we need to let it play out. I’ve got a sourced story to clear some bits up on Colwill at least here.
Once the defence is sorted and secured, Chelsea will make a big push to sign another forward for Thomas Tuchel. I’ve got a sourced story with some actual developments on Serge Gnabry and Raphael Leao here to see you into the weekend.
Finally, we are profiling an unsung hero from Thomas Tuchel’s staff here to end the newsletters for the week, with some interesting quotes from a super agent!
Remember, no newsletters Saturday or Sunday, but I will jump on if anything major goes on or any breaking news that needs covering. I am out all afternoon/evening Saturday though just FYI.
Have a cracking weekend whatever you’re doing and if you’re lucky as us with the weather, enjoy it, stay hydrated (no, beer doesn’t hydrate you!)
Peace, Si.
Si, since Ake is not coming, are we still signing another CB (maybe right-sided) along with Kimpembe?
That's what the papers were insinuating yesterday when they said we would be going after 3 CBs and a RWB/RW hybrid.
I'm a new subscriber and love the content so far. Direct, sourced, and informative!
I'm glad to see the "lack of action" hysteria from fans has dialed back over the last week. Very intrigued to see how the rest of the window plays out now that we're no longer in on Ake and Gnabry appears to have renewed with Bayern.
