Chelsea Newsletter: Friday 11th Nov
Covering: Sources on right backs (Frimpong, Gusto), Newcastle preview and predictions, How to transform this squad, Managers paper cracks - problems are rooted, Plus general CFC news!
Morning all!
It’s Friday! Welcome to the weekend!
We have a game on Saturday, our last Chelsea game for some time. Thankfully, I think we need this little reset and hopefully we can come back ready to fight it out again in the second half of the season. But in the meantime, I agree with Trev Chalobah, we have to treat this game vs Newcastle like a cup final. I have a preview and predictions article for it here.
Plenty of quotes coming in from players and managers alike yesterday after the City game, you can catch up on all of those here, as well as all the rest of the general Chelsea news and transfer rumours.
A sourced article next on right backs. This is another key area that Chelsea are looking to add in very soon, find out more about that, including two new names as targets we are looking at in here.
Some more reactions from me now after the City game. Once again, I saw people arguing about Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter, and to be honest, we need to look at the deeper-rooted problem that has existed for some time, regardless of the manager. You can dive into that one here.
The final article of the day and week here is a follow up the above, and giving out my plans what I would do to rebuild the squad over the next couple of windows, and how I would approach this project with adding academy players etc.
That’s a wrap until Sunday! Hope you all have a great weekend and I truly hope Chelsea can make us all smile on Saturday night!
Up the Chels! COYB!
Peace, Si.
As usual some fascinating reads. Very balanced. I'm also pleased we will have the WC break.. I personally think a lot of players have had this in mind and didn't want to get injured especially after seeing a few of their team mates out
Small pet peeve. As a subscriber, when I get the newsletter in my email and I click the link - it always gives me This thread is only visible to paid subscribers of Si & Dan Talk Chelsea. Shouldn’t the system know that the link is coming from a paid subscriber email?
