Chelsea Newsletter - Christmas Eve!
Covering: End of Year reflections - Player of the Season so far, Christensen's bizarre contract situation, Lukaku and CHO boost, Cobham prove no gap is too big, plus our general news sweep..
Happy Christmas Eve all!
We’ve made it to another Christmas and I truly hope you all have a great time for those who are celebrating, and for those who are not, hope you have a great weekend anyway and we have a big Chelsea game to watch Sunday as well!
You’ll probably all be aware that I absolutely LOVE Christmas and I’m looking forward to doing the whole family thing this weekend! I’ve got this newsletter for you, and I’ll also probably do a reflections article for the Villa game on Boxing Day that I’ll post out right away, but there will be NO newsletter on Monday as I will be taking the weekend off this weekend to enjoy Christmas. Newsletters will continue on Tuesday and we will also have a pre NYE Podcast out too of course.
Anyways, here’s the news…
I thought it would be cool to do a player of the season so far and reflections article before we hit the new year, let’s see if y’all agree with me here.
Next up, I’m becoming very frustrated with the Andreas Christensen contract situation if I’m honest, but there is a developing and ever-changing story on that you can check the latest out on here.
After being back in training today, Chelsea are hoping to have both Callum Hudson-Odoi and Romelu Lukaku back for the Villa game due to both testing negative for Covid-19 this week after being in isolation, read more on that here.
It’s the week of Cobham this week as we celebrated once again the immense talent coming out of our youth academy every year. We got to see the ‘class of 21’ this week, or at least some of them, check out my comment piece on that here.
Then finally, some more big stories here in our general news sweep of anything else you may have missed from Thursday.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all our subscribers, got love for you all, thanks so much for choosing to be with us here in this community!
Speak VERY soon, Si.
