Chelsea need a Victor Osimhen focal point, Of course Joao Felix scores, Criticisms based on facts not rage, Could Chelsea replace Enzo Fernandez with Andrey Santos/or Tchouameni? Much more...
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Friday 7th February 2025!
Morning all,
Welcome to another weekend!
Chelsea are in FA Cup action tomorrow against Brighton and it happens to be an 8pm kick off on Saturday night. I’ll have my match review out on Sunday morning! No idea what to expect from this game in all honesty, Brighton got thumped by Nottingham Forest recently, but that doesn’t mean much in the grand scheme of things. Be nice to keep our FA Cup challenge going, but this will be a very tough place to go.
To the content now, and I had the live blog running as always covering all your general Chelsea news, interviews, quotes, and everything else from across the last 24 hours in the same place here.
The Score is popping up for us TWICE this week. He first put out another incredible article that I sent to your emails yesterday. If you missed that, it’s well worth checking out as always in here. He’s literally spot on in this. Then we will have him jump on the Podcast with Jai today [was supposed to be yesterday but Jai had a work call] to support a Todd Boehly sole ownership of Chelsea FC, criticise the operations of the club, speak on the transfer window, and much more. That will be out around 1.30pm today!
Speaking of bad operations, Joao Felix scored 11 minutes into his AC Milan debut this week. Of course he did. I have some words on Felix and how annoyed I am that this situation happened in here.
Some chatter about Enzo Fernandez being replaced by Andrey Santos in the summer came from our community this week and it led me to write an article. It’s not even massively unrealistic that Fernandez is sold in the summer, and I have some details on that and also some contract clauses in here, as well as opinion, a bit of sourced stuff, and much more.
My final article of the week is on Victor Osimhen. I may well finally be warming to him being our top striker target, if that is what they decide (he’s probably too old now). I’ve been looking at the amount of crosses we make, and having a focal point like Osimhen, someone who is incredible at headed goals, would really elevate our attack and give us more chances to score goals. I’m still a huge Liam Delap and Viktor Gyokeres fan though, and would be happy with either of them, but Osimhen’s aerial threat and qualities is something we could really use right now. Words on that in here.
Have a good weekend all, I’ve got a new goalkeeper name we are looking into coming out on Sunday so look out for that one, as well as a bunch of sourced articles reporting other names, targets, and plans for the summer window!
Peace, Si.
Hi Si, How about this for the summer. Get Kepa and Petrovic back, both playing out of their skin at the moment. Sign this Pulisic bloke, who is burning it up at AC Milan, failing that there is some bloke at Forrest called Odoi Hudson or something who is on fire. I also hear that some guy called Guehi at The Palace is pretty dominant at CH, And some old geezer called Lukaku is an out and out goal scorer and gets on the end of crosses and bullies people. Should only cost us about £300 grand ...lol.
I’ve just watched Maresca’s press conference and it looks like Guiu is out for possibly a month which is going to be interesting for Jackson. You couldn’t make it up. The only way we will finish fourth or fifth is because the other teams are worse and I’m not holding my breath on that one.
