Happy Monday people!
Hope you’ve all enjoyed your weekends whatever you got up to. It was so refreshing to see Chelsea come away with a big scoreline like 4-0 on Saturday.
It wasn’t really as easy as the result suggests it was though, and we were put through quite a frustrating first half once again, but it’s largely all positives here in my match review article.
Mason Mount is certainly lacking a bit of good form right now and he was largely pretty lacklustre against Burnley again. However, and this isn’t necessarily related to his bad form, but I do believe he is being played out of position, more on that here.
Next up, it’s on everyone’s lips and has been since last Wednesday, Roman Abramovich selling up. I have all the talk, rumours, and latest on potential new owners for you here.
Next up, the contractual situations of our three defenders with one of them set to depart this week. Also, some snippets in here on whether an ownership change might effect the situations of the other two.
Finally, I’m still seeing transfer rumours out there right now, but as annoying as it is for me (gives me less subjects to write about!), you can safely ignore anything that is being written about transfer moves right now really with the odd exception, purely because essentially we have no owners, and none of us know how the new owners will operate yet. A lot more on that here.
Very strange times reporting on the club right now, something I’ve never experienced during my time writing about Chelsea. I’m just glad there are games on still, otherwise I might have to start sharing meal recipe ideas with you guys instead just to get some content out that isn’t about new ownership!!
Have a good Monday!
Peace, Si.
