Chelsea considering move for long-term target Boubacar Kamara
The 21-year old is being looked at for two potential positions at Chelsea
Boubacar Kamara is a wanted man, by Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, and Chelsea to be precise.
The 21-year old has been watched closely by Chelsea scouts for a good few years now and they have had various discussions with Marseille over potentially signing him.
Most recently, Chelsea are considering making a fresh approach for the France under-21 international and are considering him as a potential centre back option, as well as a defensive midfielder.
Kamara can play both well, and does play both well, although he is predominantly more a defensive midfielder than a centre back. But the thought of him playing at the back interests Chelsea.
Chelsea are looking to sign a new centre back in the summer, check out our list of potential targets here.
Bayern are also considering him as a potential replacement for David Alaba, sources tell us.
It is not the first time that Chelsea would have held talks over Kamara, we’ve been told that they did actually reject a very unusual offer from Marseille in the summer involving several loans and Michy Batshuayi.
So in terms of a deal having potential to reignite again, certainly keep a close eye on Chelsea when you start hearing about the next potential move for Kamara; we expect them to be in there somewhere with him being such a long-term club target.
