Morning all,

What a result and what a performance yesterday. Chelsea were aggressive, played smart in a transitional style, and were organised and well-drilled at the back. I’d love us to setup like this more regularly.

The Blues beat Champions Liverpool 3-1 yesterday and you can grab all my thoughts, debrief, ratings, and conclusion on the game here.

Jai had trouble uploading the Podcast on Friday with his Tesco WiFi so I did it on Sunday morning for him. It’s well worth the wait though as he was joined by SPTC legends Danny Windsor and Luke Rushbrook. You can listen here if you haven’t already.

Maresca has been asking for more experience in his squad, imagine my shock… It’s Mauricio Pochettino all over again. Maresca joins a bunch of former Chelsea players, pundits, journalist, and fans who have all said that this squad needs quality and proven experience added to it. Will Chelsea do it this summer?
