Chelsea 2 Ipswich 2, Revisiting THAT Mourinho, Terry, & Lampard interview! Colwill's fighting talk, Maresca acknowledging the travelling fans, Blues News Report, Much more...
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Monday 14th April 2025!
Morning all,
Hope you had a great weekend away from the football!
Chelsea played yesterday afternoon as is the norm these days with our European involvement on Thursday nights. It was the 2pm kick off game and Chelsea were home to Ipswich Town in the Premier League. A disgraceful result I am afraid, there is no other way to put it.
You can catch my full review, ratings, debrief and conclusion here.
You can then catch the post-match press comments from Enzo Maresca, other match reactions, and all of your general Chelsea news from across Sunday before and after the game in our Blues News Report here.
Some articles I put out before the Ipswich game now. One on how I was impressed to see Enzo Maresca acknowledge the away fans on Thursday and what they all had to go through after the game being stuck in the stadium. Things like this will go a long way to building that all important fan connection. Full story here.
Levi Colwill had that fighting talk before the Ipswich game and ahead of our season run in. This is what we want to hear of course but we now need to collectively back that up and finish the season strong! Words here.
I am assuming most of you by now all saw that incredible interview with John Terry, Frank Lampard, and Jose Mourinho over the weekend in The Telegraph? I wasn’t on the site to speak on it at the time, so I have put out the quotes from it so I can revisit it as well as letting those who might have missed it see it. What an interview this was here, easily the best ever Chelsea one I’ve read.
I’ll be on the next live blog from around 8.30am today. See you all there!
Peace, Si.
They will win the next two against Fulham and Everton, raising hopes going into Liverpool and Newcastle. Tie against Liverpool meaning that if we best Newcastle we are back in control of our own destiny....but then they are smashed by Newcastle. But, since other teams dropped points, it means if we win our last two games, we will still get that 5th spot. However, Chelsea lose 0-3 to Man United making that potentially amazing last game meaningless. Europa, here we come!
