The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Wednesday 20th September 2023!
Morning all!
Hope you are enjoying your week as we hit the halfway point again.
Chelsea are playing on Sunday at 2pm for the second week running, and we will be building up to that one on the website from tomorrow with some previews and also the latest Podcast episode.
In the meantime, there is plenty to talk about and after a quiet two weeks on the blog after the transfer window closed and we went into an international break, things have been livening back up again. So make sure you check in on yesterday’s live blog here, which is absolutely THE best place to be every day in the week if you are a Chelsea fan! Lot’s more Ivan Toney reports in this as well as some other interesting info as well as my own sourced info on injury updates for Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia!
I have some help today from some of our awesome regular contributors to this site. First of all, we have another article from The Score here where he looks back into the track record of Mauricio Pochettino and declares once again that this man deserves our patience.
And then we have the tactical knowledge of Ryan Gunness, who has an opinion/analysis article here on how we can turn the downward trajectory around.
Now it’s my turn! I have once again looked at the starting Xl and also put plenty of words down here on what I believe we need to see this week, next week, and maybe even more weeks ahead, to give ourselves the very best chance of success as soon as we can.
And finally for this newsletter, I put some words out here on why we must not be heaping the pressure on Christopher Nkunku. Not before his injury, not now, and certainly not when he gets back.
OK folks, see you on the live blog from 8am today!
Peace, Si.
