BREAKING! Chelsea Confirm Takeover!

Finally folks, we got there!

Chelsea have finally dropped their official statement to confirm the new ownership of the Todd Boehly consortium.

It’s been a long time coming [although actually very quick for a club takeover], but unfortunately we still have to wait another two days for it all to be officially completed.

Monday will be the official day of completion, but we can relax now anyway, due to Chelsea announcing it. Monday will purely be the day when all transitions have been completed and the sanctions will be lifted on our football club, meaning we can then enter the transfer market.

This statement has been drafted at Chelsea for the last three days now, so I have no idea why there was such a delay to simply then post 46 words! But I am told that there was some little bits of details that were still being tied up before they could release the statement, which of course, has now been done.

This is excellent news to start our weekends off here, and Monday I am expecting for some words, maybe even in video format, from Boehly himself to come out when the next official statement drops. At least we know it is definitely going to be Monday now, as confirmed by the club themselves.

Statement on the takeover from Chelsea: “Chelsea Football Club can confirm that a final and definitive agreement was entered into last night to sell the Club to the Todd Boehly/Clearlake Capital consortium.

“It is expected that the transaction will be completed on Monday. The Club will update further at that time.”
