The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Thursday 4th July 2024!
Morning all,
Happy Independence Day to those in America! And for those who are voting for the next Prime Minister today in the UK, good luck!
July the 4th though for us football fans, especially transfer lovers, means that we are heading deeper into the transfer window and some big decisions being made.
Some big news came out last night after I logged off the live blog (typical). Neil Bath and Jim Fraser are leaving Chelsea, which is not only big news but also very sad news. I’ll have a sourced article on what we understand to have happened there out around 9.30am today! For all the rest of your Chelsea news, transfer rumours, and much more from the last 24 hours in the same place, check in here.
Chelsea are deep in planning and discussions for new signings as well as player sales, and I have THREE sourced stories on Chelsea transfer news for you all today.
The first one is on Brentford and England striker Ivan Toney. Ironically, after I wrote an opinion article yesterday saying Toney is what we need, I have some very intriguing info to put out on him here.
The next sourced story is on Italy defender Riccardo Calafiori, who looks set to depart Bologna this summer. Again, I wrote a bit of an opinion and updates article on him yesterday, but this one is now intensifying and I have some info on Chelsea’s interest here.
And the last sourced article is on a few names and situations in here. This covers Jonathan David, Dominic Solanke, and Mathys Tel. Some very interesting snippets in this one.
Luke is up now as always and he’s gone into looking at different hybrid left back options - and mentions his top choice! You can read his article in full here.
Podcast out later today too! See you all on the live blog before that at around 8.30am!
Peace, Si.
