The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Friday 5th July 2024!
Morning all,
Happy Friday people and happy Euros quarter finals weekend! I’d like to say I am excited to watch England play, but I’d be lying!
We had our latest Podcast out yesterday talking the latest transfer rumours and reporting some sourced news on that, as well as discussing the departure of Neil Bath from the academy, and much more. You can check that out here.
I’ve got two sourced articles out today as well. But before we get to those, I thought it was high time that I played with some formations and lineups for next season. It’s going to be very hard to predict with Enzo Maresca in as head coach, but there are a few things we do know. I’ve based these ones on him using a 4-3-3, and an inverted full back. Intriguing look into next season here.
Back to the Neil Bath stuff now after I have been able to speak to a variety of sources on the situation. This here is what we have concluded as to what has happened in this situation and why Bath, as well as Jim Fraser, are leaving the club after being here for so many years.
And the other sourced article I have out is on Corinthians winger Wesley Gassova. The interest is legit, and I have news on the plans for him and whether Chelsea will push to bring him or not in here.
Seeing us out for the week as always is our anchor man. You can read Luke’s latest in full here. We didn’t plan this, but we have both focused on the same subject for articles today, looking at formations! But as always, it’s great to get a different perspective and look, and Luke has used much shinier and impressive formation images than me too 😅
Right, I’m sure once again I will need to jump on the Substack App chat section this weekend before returning to the site on Sunday. So do make sure you have notifications on there and I’ll deliver any sourced news and report anything big that comes out. I wont jump on for every rumour or bit of news, only for something big, or if I have some big sourced news to put out that can’t wait until Sunday.
Have a good weekend all and good luck to the teams you are backing at the Euros!
Peace, Si.
Following the election result - I wonder if this new gov't were in charge, we would still have Roman !
