The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Monday 15th April 2024!
Morning everyone!
I hope you had a great weekend. Those in the UK enjoyed a brief spell of some slightly warmer weather and a spot of sunshine this weekend, which was a nice rarity! Hope you managed to make the most of it.
Chelsea play tonight in the Monday Night Football Special on Sky Sports, and we face a team who are historically one of our bogey teams in Everton. I have previewed the game in full here along with the Blues team news, lineup prediction, score prediction, and much more.
One positive one, followed by one negative one next (I try to stay balanced 😉).
Let’s start with the negative, and it’s no surprise that it’s centered around the latest comments from Mauricio Pochettino on Chelsea achieving European football this season. His comments, detailed in here, have yet again dug a deeper hole for himself and pushed Chelsea fans further way from him. Sigh.
And now for the positive one, and this is on our owners, who I truly believe and know have the best intentions and ambitions for this club. They have shown their strengths in business again by finding the latest financial loophole to hopefully clear us of any PSR punishments. You can read all about that in here.
I also sent a sourced update on new managers on our shortlist yesterday that would have dropped into your inboxes. It’s important to reiterate that as of yet Chelsea are not actively moving on any new managers and have not made any contact, but they are doing due diligence by drawing up a list of potential next managers that they like for when it gets to the point that they will be looking to hire a new one. Read that in full in here and see the names being looked at 👀
Finally, as I always do on a Sunday night, I scrolled through all the latest Chelsea news from a host of outlets and written up our Blues News Report here. This is where you will find all your latest general Chelsea news in one place.
I’ll be on the live blog from around 8.30am this morning to build up to tonight’s game, do please join me there!
COME ON CHELSEA!!!
Peace, Si.
