Welcome to another Chelsea FC match day! This time we are in League Cup action against a team we beat only on Sunday, Newcastle United!

We go again against the Toon!

This time though, we expect to see a very different starting lineup named by Enzo Maresca, who will surely go for more of his ‘B-team’ again as it’s a cup match. You can see the expected lineup that I am predicting for this game as well as a little preview in here.

We then face Manchester United on Sunday, and our next opponents look like they might have a new manager in place too. Chelsea also wanted Ruben Amorim, but ended up going for Enzo Maresca instead. I have some sourced info on all of that in here. I think most are probably pleased we got Maresca over Amorim as of this moment at least. Let’s hope those feelings last.

Former Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf says we might need to have a conversation about Wesley Fofana quite soon, and I am inclined to agree. It’s something I have actually already mentioned on here recently. Some concerns for sure in this look on Fofana here.
