Giorgi Mamardashvili: what a goalkeeper
He may be the one we need to lock down the GK position for the next few years
Good Evening ladies and gents,
I am writing this at the conclusion of the Georgia v Turkey game, and WOW what a game, the best of the tournament so far.
It was end to end, there was some real quality on show and it was pure entertainment from start to finish, I was impressed with both sides and Turkey especially look a really decent side!
I want to talk about Giorgi Mamardashvili and this being the 3rd time I have watched him play and each time I have been impressed more than the time before and today I was thoroughly impressed with him.
Some of the saves he made were absolutely outstanding, his footwork was good and his array of passing pretty good albeit not perfect.
He has an aura and presence in the goal which must be a calming but commanding feeling for the defenders in front of him, that is exactly what we need at Chelsea.
I suggest anyone to go back and watch the game or even the highlights and keep a close eye on Mamardashvili.
He could be the next big Goalkeeper in European football!
Thanks for reading

Probably hundred percent agree Luke he was very impressive and this was without doubt the best game of the tournament so far which has been an excellent tournament quite to date.
Sounds exciting & I agree about the game. Is he someone that our SD’s could be looking at in reality? Also how are his language skills? - just thinking about communication with defenders - it is vital part of a good goalkeeper’s game.
