Different test vs Barrow and chance for Mudryk, Felix & co, Moises Caicedo shining, Levi Colwill's data puts him as best in the league, Nico Jackson ready to ripe now? News roundups, More...
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Tuesday 24th September 2024!
Morning all,
It’s a mid-week Chelsea match day! Tonight we have a different kind of test against League Two opposition, and a chance for some fringe players to start.
Barrow will be no pushovers and are currently sat at the top of League Two after seven games played. They have won four of their last five games. Who will start for Chelsea tonight though? Mykhailo Mudryk? Joao Felix? I’ve got my predictions and preview in here.
I’ve got articles next on two players who are likely to be rested tonight, Levi Colwill and Moises Caicedo.
Both players were colossal against West Ham on Saturday, so I’ve got some flowers to hand out to both.
Let’s begin with Colwill first by diving into his data. Colwill is rated as the best performing centre back in the league so far this season and he is also the youngest on that list. Check that out and much more data on Levi in here.
With Caicedo, there is also some stats to look at in here, along with some compliments from former Blue Pat Nevin, and praise from myself too.
Nicolas Jackson has also been on the receiving hand of plenty of praise recently. But it’s not always been that way and in fact, he was criticised a lot and even got some abuse by a small section of the fan base last season. Jackson was raw, but is he now cooking? That and more on the overall debate on signing too many raw players at once in here.
And finally for today, round up all of your latest Chelsea news from across the last 24 hours in the same place here, covering quotes, Enzo Maresca’s pre-match presser, interviews, transfer rumours, and everything else!
Right, see you all on the live blog from around 8.30am as we build up to tonight’s League Cup third round match up!
Peace, Si.
