Chelsea throw away realistic chance of silverware, The squad needs work but we knew this, Man Utd up next and the A-Team are back! Loan Army Report, Latest Podcast, News roundups, Much more...
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Friday 1st November 2024!
Morning all!
Welcome to November already! Halloween is gone, Bonfire Night next, then Christmas! Time goes so quick, right? We will soon be in the busy halfway period of the season. WOW.
This Sunday will be Chelsea’s 10th league game, and this is when I said I will start judging how things are going. To be honest though, at this point, it is still going to be quite hard to really judge where things are. It’s still a bit up and down. But I will do a ten game review next week regardless.
Our tenth game comes against new manager bouncers Manchester United, meaning we face a tough but unpredictable opposition on Sunday. I have predicted the lineup and dropped a bit of a preview here.
I finally caught the Newcastle game and despite recommendations to skip watching it, I ignored that sound advice. I found it absolutely puzzling how we didn’t seem to take this competition seriously. A trophy is a bloody trophy, and it’s not like we have been showered with silverware lately, is it? A bit of a rant/match review from me in here.
The Score has provided a bit of balance to the game but also, concerns too in here. He admits the thing that we all know, the squad still needs work. But also, Score has drawn in on the positives too and is not overly bothered about going out of the League Cup. Personally I am, but I respect his view in this one and he makes some solid points.
However, we move and look forward now with the next game on the horizon. We go again now with the A-Team!
Round up all of your latest Chelsea news from across the last 24 hours in the same place in here, covering any quotes, interviews, transfer rumours, and everything else in between.
Luke will have his latest Loan Army report out later today as always for our final article of this newsletter. So do look out for that on the home page today! I always look forward to reading these.
We also had the latest Podcast drop yesterday, which you can listen to in here!
I will setup the live match discussion thread for Sunday on the Substack App chat section for you all to ‘watch’ along together as always. I’ll be on the site Sunday afternoon to drop my review on the game and the rest of the articles for the day. See you all then!
Have a cracking weekend!
Peace, Si.
