Blues superbly THRASH Hammers! Transfer news: Osimhen and Adarabioyo, My Pochettino stance, Conundrum around Poch, Deep Spurs analysis, More...
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Monday 6th May 2024!
Morning all,
I hope you had a nice weekend. Those in the UK may have noticed that finally we might be getting some slightly warmer weather coming!
The Blues were in action yesterday afternoon on this bank holiday weekend, and it was a stroll in the Stamford Bridge park against a very poor West Ham side. The credit though, fully goes to Chelsea who were superb all over the pitch yesterday!
You can grab my full thoughts, reactions, conclusion, debrief, player/manager ratings, and more in here.
Away from the game (although you can also find Poch’s post-match presser in this), there has been some transfer news starting to bubble up. So the best place to head to first to cover all reports is the news report from yesterday here. I’ve addressed news of a proposal sent to Victor Osimhen in this too 👀.
There’s also been more and more noise getting louder on Chelsea’s links with Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo, who will become a free agent at the end of the season. Find out exactly what is going on with this potential move, and my thoughts on it in here. Also a chance for you guys to poll it out in this.
I wrote this article next before the West Ham game, but my stance was always going to stay the same regardless. I assess the season from the start of it and not just a handful of matches. I did this when I changed my stance on Mauricio Pochettino in the first place, not just after a game or two - so it would take quite a bit now for me to change it again. Read more on that in here.
Our guy The Score has actually written something similar as well for today, and this was also written before the West Ham game. He believes Chelsea have a bit of a conundrum with Pochettino right now, and you can read all about that in here.
Bonus article alert next! Seun also dropped by to put out his trademark tactical analysis for us on the Spurs win from last week. It’s always great to see the detail and video analysis in these, so do check in on that here.
That’s it for now, but do please join me on the live blog from around 8.30am this morning!
Peace, Si.
