A Ben Chilwell conversation, If Enzo's happy, I'm happy, What would YOU do with Conor Gallagher this summer? Chelsea draft competition winner! Full news roundups, More...
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Monday 25th March 2024!
Morning all,
I hope you all had a great weekend whatever it was you were up to! I played football on Saturday afternoon and had actual blocks of ice fall from the skies smacking into my head. Our game was temporarily abandoned for 10 minutes until the skies cleared and the sun came back out. English weather, hey!?
There was plenty of international football being played over the weekend, and there was smiles for Enzo Fernandez as he got on the scoresheet for Argentina. I have used that to hone in on Enzo in general here, speaking about his time at Chelsea since arriving 14 months ago, and how we are starting to see a much better Enzo now.
It wasn’t such a happy time for Ben Chilwell, who started for England at left back against Brazil on Saturday night. He was poor, there are no two ways about it. And I have used that to speak on Chilwell here and my thoughts overall on our vice captain.
Conor Gallagher also started that game for England and was certainly better than Chilwell was, but he wasn’t amazing. I wanted to get some community votes in on what we think about the future of Conor Gallagher and what we want to see happen this summer in here. There has been more stories out on Gallagher these last couple of weeks, and it’s important to put our updated opinions out on it. I’ve also put mine in this one.
It’s time now to reveal the winner of our Chelsea draft competition from last week. We ran this as a bit of fun and something to keep us occupied during an international break. I set a really tough challenge for you all, and you can see who won and the team they selected in here.
Finally, check out all the rest of the latest Chelsea news from Sunday in one place here with yesterday’s news report.
Right, today I am going to be running and back on the live blogs. I have to say that I don’t know how regular I will be able to be putting updates on, obviously with baby duties in between, but I will update as much as I can and as frequent as possible. I won’t be running them until late either and will probably be looking to sign off from around 6/7pm each day. But I will do my absolute best to update as regular as possible, but just don’t expect it to be every hour like usual. I’ll answer any questions like usual. and add any updates I need to from my own info. See you all there from around 8.30am this morning!
Peace, Si.
Great picture, Dan, Frank, Dennis, Franco, all warriors all played for the badge every game.
